Excitement filled the air during the groundbreaking ceremony for the New Main Lee County Library on November 22, 2024. The SCI team joined Lee County Libraries staff, local government officials, business leaders, and community members to celebrate the beginning of this significant and highly anticipated project.

Sanford Contractors is thrilled to partner with Samet Corporation to bring this state-of-the-art library to our community. This partnership combines decades of experience and a shared commitment to enhancing the communities we serve.

During the ceremony, Blake Baur, Vice President of Commercial Building at SCI, emphasized the project’s impact, stating, “The foundation we lay today is not only for a structure but for a place of learning, exploration, and connection for all.”

The completed library will cover over 34,000 square feet and will feature modern indoor/outdoor design, community gathering areas, a designated kids/teens section, and a new meeting space for the Lee County Commissioners.

The library is scheduled to open in Spring 2026.  We look forward to witnessing the positive impact this project will have on our community for generations to come.
