Sanford Contractors was honored to serve as Presenting Sponsor of the first Sanford Area Growth Alliance Economic Development Summit, a half-day event focused on advancing economic development in Sanford, NC, and the surrounding Lee County region.

Themed “Understanding Today to Build Tomorrow,” the summit brought together community and business leaders for thoughtful conversations about quality of life, housing, workforce development, and the opportunities shaping Lee County’s future.

In his opening remarks, Sanford Contractors Sr. VP Richard Oldham reflected on the company’s deep connection to the community and optimism for what’s ahead. He said, “I’ve never been more energized about our future than I am right now. Our community is strong, but this summit is a clear sign that we’re all ready to roll up our sleeves and work together to build something even better.”

Sanford Contractors President—and former Sanford Area Growth Alliance Economic Development Chair—Donnie Oldham closed the program with a reminder of what drives meaningful progress. He shared, “This summit is proof of what can happen when people work together for a common goal. Progress in economic development comes not from any one idea or person, but from the commitment and collaboration of many.”
